Since 1953, Navajo Ministries has helped to meet the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of Navajo families and children. Our mission is to provide hope and
restoration to families in the Four Corners Region through programs that establish
self-sufficiency, resilience and Christian values.
Our vision is to continue to build a future for Navajo families through ministry program
growth and development. Navajo Ministries continues to grow in every area of the ministry and has, in several areas, outgrown current facilities.
The existing communications / administration building space will be converted and
upgraded to create the Navajo Heritage Center. This museum-based enterprise, the Navajo
Trading Post and Marketplace and the Navajo Bed and Breakfast Hogans will be places for
visitors to learn about and experience the Navajo people, their history and their culture.
Navajo Ministries is expanding its facilities to include a new Education and Activity Center, Kids in Crisis Home, Bunkhouse and a staff-housing complex. The current Crisis House will be upgraded and converted into space for the Counseling and Family Training Center. Additional improvements will be made for safety, security, site access, parking, and to the existing corral, barn and gardens.
This new construction and expansion space provide an opportunity to convert existing
buildings to revenue producing program space for community use and visitor education.
Navajo Ministries needs resourceful partners like you to join with us in providing a
destination where the celebration of the Navajo people and heritage can be experienced and enjoyed.
Within three years the enterprise activities are projected to create an additional $100,000 net cash flow per year for the Navajo Heritage Center and in the future years will allow Navajo
Ministries to become self-funding.
Please join us as we work to perpetuate and grow the programs and ministry of Navajo
Ministries while we create a destination for others to experience and preserve the history,
language and artistry of the Navajo, the people we love and serve.
Join the celebration. The Navajo Heritage Center - Celebration of The People.
